I Want To Get Stacked
I’m not a particularly shallow guy, at least I don’t think of myself as one but I’ve been thinking recently about taking on a proper gym regime in order to build up some serious muscles.
This is not something that I am just doing lightly, on a whim because I think it’ll make me more popular or more attractive; I’m doing this because I always like a challenge and my physical side has always been the weaker part of me while my intellect is, without sounding too cocky, fairly formidable.
So while I’m not going to go too overboard and try to compete at these bodybuilding competitions, I’m looking to gain some real definition and bulk. I especially want to focus on my upper torso which is particularly lacking in anything one would describe as muscles. My legs aren’t too bad because I cycle a lot but even here I’ll work on them a bit.
I’m also going to change what I eat and focus on following a good muscle building diet plan with all the essential minerals, vitamins and nutrients that will help the body to utilise the additional protein I’ll be consuming.
You see, I enjoy science and I’ve been looking into how the body works and while many people would just assume that you have to eat loads of protein (or drink it via shakes), the truth is that unless you provide the body with the supporting elements, your diet will not be nearly as effective.
I’m also going to pay attention to the way that I work my body at the gym because again there are optimal ways to tackle this challenge and I’d much prefer to take these rather than struggle for longer to get the same results.
Anyway – this is the first post of what will hopefully be many so keep an eye out for updates in the near future.
